christmas cakes two...

Its hard to tell from the picture, but this cake is teeny-tiny. Just a one layer 6".
Why so small?
Well, a very thoughtful momma wanted to make sure her darling daughter had something sweet this Christmas. Her daughter has Celiac's, and therefor can't have wheat or wheat products. Over the past months, I have been working on recipes that are gluten free and have a great white cake recipe that is moist and delicious. Can make it vanilla, lemon or orange. Chocolate is no problem, as using cocoa powder often makes up for the consistency and texture of flour, but white cake can be tricky.

We also tried some dainties, but would like to forget about the butter tart incident sooner than later :P
Let's just leave it at ...not perfected yet....

Hi Pam

This was the most delicious and thoughtful think any one has done for me. The whole family had a piece of this cake. It was really nice to be able to have some christmas treat!! I will post your site on celiac forums and tell a few friends about you in WPG that have weddings coming up and are celiac :)

Thanks Again!!
