Cake for Paul

That is one huge golf ball. It was also a huge amount of cake. Four cakes really. It was 7" tall. I stacked them up and then shaved it until it was round; it was as though I was a potter and I was sculpting. The writing looks a little wonky because the letters fall into the divots. Haven't thought of a way to rectify that quite yet. Perhaps cut them from fondant and place them on the ball instead of writing directly on it? I've been watching too much Ace of Cakes lately. That Duff, he can do anything....
